Death toll from earthquake in Nepal rises to 7,250 - ministry

USPA News - The death toll in Nepal from last month`s devastating earthquake has risen to at least 7,250, the government reported Sunday as recovery operations continued. The death toll does not include 107 people who died in neighboring countries.
The National Emergency Operation Center, of the Ministry of Home Affairs, said the nationwide death toll had risen to 7,250 by Saturday evening. Most of the casualties were in the district of Sindhupalchowk, where 2,829 bodies have been recovered. At least 1,194 people died in Kathmandu district, 798 people died in Nuwakot district, and 656 people died in Dhading district. The death toll includes at least 54 foreigners, the center said in an earlier update.
